It's almost time for the "off-season"! The Smokies have only 9 regular season games remaining. Baseball will be over for this year. However, that doesn't mean sports for The Davis Family are over---no ma'am!
Our little Davis Family toted children to many a baseball game in their young lives. After Storm retired as a MLB player, our thriving off-spring began playing their own games of choice. As they got into high school, the boys settled on football and the girls settled on basketball! There was never a shortage of games to attend! College years brought football for two of the boys ---so it was off to those games we would go, too!
During all those years of being toted to his game or her game, I watched these great kids support and cheer for each other!! They understood the meaning of family and team! I applaud them and cherish those memories dearly!!
Now two of the boys, Zach and Caleb, coach HS Football. One in FL and one in GA. The siblings, as their adult schedules allow, still catch a game, cheer for the coach, and ask their dad where we're going for dinner! I continue to applaud their precious hearts!! I am a blessed wife, mom, and Mimi!!
Our "off season" really isn't off! It is scheduled by going to watch football, play with grandbabes, dinners with family and friends, and the holiday season! And I like it!!!
